IRON MOUNTAIN FIRE

This page contains photos of the Iron Mountain fire which nearly wiped us out.  Most of these were taken behind my house.  We were blessed by the fact that over the week period that this fire burned out of control, the wind was blowing out of the southwest in excess of 40 mph on a daily basis.  Had it been blowing out of the north (the direction of the start of the fire) we would have surely lost everything in the fire.

This will give some prospective of where the fire was in relationship to the house.  This photo was taken from the far western corner of our land.  Look closely and you will see our house in the middle of the photo.
